Ads Coming Back To Free Version Of UberTwitter This Thursday

UberTwitter, the popular BlackBerry Twitter client that saw a bit of user backlash when ads were added to Beta 4 only to be removed a day later, is adding them back to the free version of UberTwitter this Thursday. This time, however, there will be a ad-less premium version that users who don’t want the ads can purchase. We will be releasing a new version on Thursday and will be turning ads back on and offering a paid ad free option. I still think that you will have a lot of UberTwitter users complain about the ads in the free version, however, their complaints won’t be nearly as legitimate since they could pay to have ads removed. It will be interesting to see if UberTwitter can maintain its number one ranking on BlackBerry devices as there are several ad-less free Twitter clients for BlackBerry out there. [Via @ubertwiter ]
