BerryBuzz gets an update, Color ID is an alternative

You know, you’re not stuck with the default notifications on your BlackBerry. There are applications out there which allow you to customize your alerts, selecting different colors for different types. We reviewed BerryBuzz in March, and determined that it was a worthwhile app if you want more control over your alerts. I just got an email yesterday noting that there is a new version of the program out, 2.1.22, available now. It adds support for a ton of instant messaging clients, including ICQ, AIM, Windows Live, Google Talk, and Yahoo Messenger. It also adds battery indicators — when you’re fully charged, when you’re charging, and a customizable low-battery indicator.
